Your Responsibilities:
* Ensure patients feel comfortable and well-informed
* Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
* Conduct oral screenings and assess oral health history
* Identify conditions such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
* Perform dental cleanings and apply preventive treatments (e.g., fluoride)
* Educate patients on proper oral care and hygiene techniques
* Provide post-operative instructions
* Take X-rays and dental impressions
* Assist the dentist with treatment planning, including oral cancer screenings
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
* Monitor and manage supplies
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a similar role
* Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
* Proficiency in maintaining and preparing dental equipment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Patient-focused and detail-oriented approach
* Physical stamina to meet job demands
* Diploma in Dental Hygiene (Master’s degree is a plus)
* Valid license to practice in North Carolina
