Carolina Periodontics is now seeking an experienced Part Time Dental Hygienist (RDH) in Charlotte, North Carolina! The Carolina Periodontics practice specializes in periodontics and implantology with focus on personalized, gentle and comprehensive patient care. We are adding to our hygiene team due to growth of this expanding practice! Join us as we continue to provide excellent clinical service to patients and experience collaboration across this great dental team.
Part Time Dental Hygienist Schedule:
2 days per week, ideally Monday and Wednesday, but flexible for discussion
7.30am -5:00pm with a one-hour lunch
(1st patient appointment starts at 8:00am but team huddle starts at 7:45am and hygienists arrive at 7:30am to prep for the day)

Responsibilities:
Build strong relationships with patients, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience
Screening patients and providing quality care during check-ups
Educating patients in oral hygiene technique and working with patients and their oral hygiene care
Reviewing patient's history and charting
Administers prophylactic treatment by scaling and polishing
Documents area of existing restorations
Use of X-ray
Support the dentist with procedures as needed
Qualifications:
Licensed as a Dental Hygienist in the state of North Carolina
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach
Current BLS/CPR certifications
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training
1 or more years of RDH clinical experience preferred - new grads are welcome to apply!
Knowledgeable about perio health, comfortable with patient education, and competent with gum therapy
Experience with dental practice software
Seeking a new team collaborator that is open, positive and flexible
Local Anesthesia certification or is willing to obtain one
