Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our private dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical records systems, and adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, to support diagnostic procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
Assist in the management of the dental office, including scheduling appointments and coordinating patient care.
Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Skills
Proficient in general dentistry procedures and practices.
Knowledgeable in medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry.
Familiarity with dental office operations and patient management systems.
Strong understanding of medical records management and HIPAA compliance.
Excellent patient care skills with a focus on comfort and education.
Proficient in medical terminology as well as dental terminology.
Experience in dental assisting is a plus but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour, with the opportunity to transition to a salaried position after one year.
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
