Job Summary
Pine Cove Dental seeks an experienced Dental Hygienist for a full-time position. The role requires a skilled professional with a proven track record in dental hygiene to provide high-quality preventive care and patient education. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in clinical procedures, patient engagement, and practice efficiency, aligning with our commitment to excellence and personalized service.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and prophylaxis, to maintain patient oral health.
- Conduct oral health assessments, including periodontal charting and screening for dental conditions.
- Take and interpret digital X-rays in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Apply preventive treatments, such as fluoride and sealants, to protect patient teeth.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and personalized care plans to promote long-term health.
- Accurately document patient care and treatment plans using dental software, preferably Eaglesoft.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a seamless and professional patient experience.
Qualifications
- Required: Active Texas Dental Hygienist license.
- Required: Minimum of 2 years of dental hygiene experience in a clinical setting.
- Required: Certification to administer local anesthesia is a plus but not required
- Preferred: Proficiency with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software.
- Preferred: Strong typing skills for efficient documentation.
- Attributes: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build patient trust and team synergy; high level of organization and attention to detail; professional demeanor; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
