Private family dental practice based in Universal City TX. ISO experienced RDH for a full or part time position with our organization (Mon - Thu 8a-5p, Friday 8a-2p).
Day to day responsibilities include:
Educating patients about their dental health and oral maintenance
Providing Prophys, SCRPs, PerioMaint, FMDs etc. to patients on a case by case basis
Taking xrays, panos, FMX or intra oral images as needed
Using diagnostic skills to communicate with patients about their dental issues
Generating hygiene specific treatment plans for patients
Help move patients toward restorative treatment as needed with an emphasis on education
Working with the front office to determine reasonable productions goals that align with our patients needs and our values as healthcare advocates.
Our Hygiene Department has some support from our RDAs but Hygienists with our office are responsible for sterilizing, doing clinical notes and entering treatment plans (Dentrix) . Co-diagnosis done with doctor and hygienist chairside with patient. Our office has a strong perio program so experience with soft tissue management is a must. Applicants must have at least 1 year of experience as a RDH and be based in the San Antonio/Austin area. Our patient base includes many Spanish speaking patients so bilingual (Spanish/English) is a big plus.
