Our busy practice is looking to add a hygienist to our growing team...part-time and full-time options are available with competitive daily rates and production bonus potential for high-volume producers. 1-3 day work week available; days available = Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
Job Responsibilities include:
a. Patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting
b. Taking blood pressure and pulse when needed.
c. Taking and developing both 2D and 3D dental radiographs (x-rays)
d. Removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth
e. Applying preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides) as recommended by the American Dental Association and practice protocol.
f. Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health;
(e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)
g. Presenting treatment plans for periodontal therapy and explaining its impact on oral health
h. Taking impressions as needed for removable appliances (e.g. whitening trays)
i. Completing recall analysis of patients with unscheduled treatment and /or outstanding recall
j. Managing new patient comprehensive care appointments and encouraging rescheduling
k. Working reports in order to maximize schedule efficiency
Our office hours are 7AM - 4PM on M-TR and 8AM - 2PM on Fridays.
