Our goal at Integrative Oral Medicine is to work together to make sure our patients not only have beautiful smiles, but also ensure that those smiles and the people behind them are the healthiest they can be. You will gain exposure to salivary diagnostic testing, personalized periodontal planning and cutting-edge information about the oral systemic connection through the Wellness Dentistry Network (the doctor's teaching website and platform)
Our expectations of the new team member are outlined below:
- Collect medical and dental histories from patients
- Conduct thorough periodontal examinations and record periodontal charts
- Learn to collect and recommend salivary diagnostic testing when it is adjunctive to a patient's care
- Chart dental conditions based on the dentist's observations and evaluations
- Help to sterilize dental instruments and tools
- Instruct patients of all ages on proper dental hygiene, care, and the link between oral and systemic health
- Take and evaluate the diagnostic quality of digital X-rays
- Properly diagnose patients using the new Staging and Grading system
- Be able to provide and recommend proper hygiene services to patients including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, scaling in the presence of inflammation, and debridement
- Willingness to learn new protocols, systems and technology
- Maintain strong working relationships with doctors, other hygienists, dental assistants, the Office Manager and the receptionists
