Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Performing thorough dental prophylaxis (scaling, root planing, polishing)
Conducting comprehensive dental assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting findings
Educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventative care, and dietary recommendations
Administering fluoride treatments and sealants
Performing oral cancer screenings
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
Collaborating effectively with the dentist and other team members to ensure seamless patient care
Maintaining a sterile and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
Assisting with the recall system and scheduling future appointments
Qualifications:
Valid and active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Texas
Current BLS/CPR certification
Minimum 3 year of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply!
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong patient-centered approach
Proficiency in dental software Dentrix and Dexis
Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing high-quality care
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
