Houston Dentistry at Memorial is seeking a long-term, dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental family! The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and promoting lifelong oral health in a comfortable and professional setting.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about dental hygiene, works well with others, and is committed to growing with our practice. Previous experience is preferred, but we’re happy to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth, with a high standard of care.
- Conduct oral health assessments, including medical history reviews and vital sign recordings.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and the importance of preventive care.
- Utilize digital imaging technologies to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, following all compliance and documentation standards.
- Work closely with the dentist to create individualized treatment plans.
- Follow all infection control and sterilization protocols to ensure a safe, clean environment.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program with an active Texas RDH license in good standing.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, oral anatomy, and hygiene best practices.
- Experience with OpenDental is highly desired.
- Experience with iTero and Invisalign is a plus, but not required (training provided).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and team-oriented.
- Experience with pediatric patients is a plus.
- Laser certification is preferred but not required (training can be provided).
