Responsibilities:
- Perform dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
- Administer anesthetics and sedatives to patients as necessary
- Conduct dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and crown placements
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive dental care
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays and CT scans
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and other dental professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation and patient records
- Stay informed about advancements in dentistry and new treatment techniques
Requirements:
- Valid state dental license
- Graduation from an accredited dental school
- Proficiency in medical coding and documentation
- Knowledge of dental software systems such as CAD, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic
- Strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
Vital signs monitoring may be required for certain procedures or patients.
