General Dentist – Ithaca, NY 14850 (Elmira-Based Role)
Primary Office is hiring a full-time General Dentist to join a Mobile Community Dentistry program based in Elmira, NY—serving patients throughout the region, including the greater Ithaca area. This unique opportunity allows you to make a lasting difference by providing high-quality care through a fully equipped 39-foot mobile dental and medical unit, bringing dentistry directly to those who need it most.

About the Role
This position offers the autonomy and fulfillment of community dentistry with the resources and stability of a well-supported program. You’ll work in a new, state-of-the-art mobile unit that travels across Chemung County and nearby communities, including Ithaca, delivering preventive, restorative, and emergency care to patients of all ages.
What You’ll Do
⁃ Provide general dental care in a mobile clinic setting
⁃ Deliver preventive, restorative, and emergency services to diverse patient populations
⁃ Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with NYS Department of Health Article 28 standards
⁃ Collaborate with a dedicated support team to deliver compassionate, efficient care
What You’ll Bring
⁃ DDS/DMD and active New York State dental license
⁃ Minimum of 3 years of general dentistry experience
⁃ Commitment to improving access to dental care in underserved areas
⁃ Strong communication and patient relationship skills
⁃ Experience with community or mobile dentistry preferred
Compensation
$195,000–$220,000 annually, plus relocation assistance and CME support.
Location
This full-time role is based in Elmira, NY 14901, serving patients across the region—including Ithaca, NY 14850, approximately 30 miles north. The mobile unit is equipped with advanced technology and operates within a supportive network focused on accessible, community-driven dentistry.
