We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist,with great clinical and communication skills to help assist and educate our patients, and who is interested in continuing to learn and expand their own knowledge as well! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and comfort during dental procedures. As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with dentists and patients to promote oral health and educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing using appropriate techniques.
Utilize medical imaging technologies to assist in diagnosing oral health issues.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate patient records, including documentation review and updating medical records in EMR systems.
Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment.
Stay informed about dental terminology, general dentistry practices, and pediatric dentistry techniques.
Skills
Proficiency in Dental Practice Management software for managing patient records and appointments.
Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to oral health.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
