Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene services, including prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, and oral health assessments
- Educate patients on oral-systemic health connections, nutrition, and preventive care strategies
- Use biocompatible, non-toxic materials and follow biological dentistry protocols
- Take digital X-rays and intraoral images using low-radiation techniques
- Support periodontal and wellness-based treatment planning in collaboration with the dentist
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with infection control standards
- Create a comfortable, respectful, and anxiety-reducing patient experience
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Interest in biological, holistic, or integrative dentistry
- Knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive care best practices
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Familiarity with digital charting and dental software
- CPR/BLS certification

- Training or interest in ozone therapy, laser therapy, or nutritional counseling
