Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team 2-3 days per week (flexible on days). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality preventive dental care, educate patients on oral health, and collaborate with our dentists to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive team environment while making a positive impact on our community's oral health.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing teeth.
Conduct oral health assessments, including screening for periodontal disease, oral cancer, and other conditions.
Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and preventive care.
Apply sealants, fluorides, and other preventive treatments.
Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans in our electronic health system.
Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
Assist dentists during procedures and provide chairside support when required.
Build strong patient relationships to encourage regular visits and treatment adherence.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
Current Dental Hygienist license in the state of Tennessee.
Certification in CPR and local anesthesia administration (preferred).
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a dental hygienist (new graduates encouraged to apply).
Proficiency with dental software and digital imaging systems.
Strong communication skills and a patient-focused mindset.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
Commitment to continuing education and staying current with industry best practices.
