Responsibilities:

Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
Take and develop dental x-rays
Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
Administer local anesthesia as needed
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
Assist the dentist during procedures as necessary

Skills:

Proficient in dental office systems and software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
Strong understanding of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
Experience in dental assisting and chairside support
Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for restorative dentistry
Knowledge of medical terminology and coding for dental procedures
