We are looking for an ownership-oriented associate dentist to join our family general dental practice and plan to become the new owner no later than early 2026!

I am seeking individuals who desire to own their own practice and not be an employee for their career. I understand and appreciate the concerns that you may hold as an associate and future owner. There were problems with the associate position which I took upon departing the Navy that I did not fully appreciate at the time and can now plan to avoid with you, our new associate. So, I had to take the bold and scary leap and in 1996 opened my current practice from flat scratch, zero patients, zero cash flow, did all the build out, acquired all equipment and did all initial hiring/training. I am not from this area, I’m not even from this state. It was a large task, but we made it work.

Schedule:

Full-time associate to start late fall 2024 with the buy over planned for summer 2025 to spring 2026 depending upon what pace you would want to move.
We see patients from 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Thursday (close at 4 on Monday).

Location:

Hummelstown, PA (adjacent to Hershey and beside Harrisburg) so you would be joining a in place and long-term business steady situation.
We are in a perfect location with easy access to multiple communities. We even had a traffic light installed at the end of our driveway for easy access into and out from the office parking lot. The local communities of homes are rapidly growing with a high average household income for even more opportunity for your long term practice growth.
The area has a very low crime rate, fantastic affordable housing, great school systems and a big variety of things you can do nearby or within just a short drive. Baltimore and Philadelphia are only 90 minutes away, Lancaster or York less than an hour, Hershey is 10 minutes, and the great outdoors is just minutes to a lake, river or hiking area.

Compensation

Daily Guarantee of $750 per day with potential for much more
Paid on 30% of production (NOT collection) with no deductions for standard lab fees, no PPO adjustments, full credit for hygiene exams you perform and any hygiene radiographs read.
Annual salary of at least $120,000

CE stipend of $1000 per year
Full medical Insurance coverage benefits for associate with ability to add family members at the associates expense as needed. Coverage includes medical, Rx and vision. Premiums paid by the practice.
Simple IRA plan with maximum level of allowed fund matching

EXPERIENCE:

Strongly prefer at least 2 years of experience with comfort in providing restorative, endodontic, oral surgery, non-surgical Perio and pediatric care. I currently do not provide orthodontic care so that would be an area of immediate growth for the new owner.

As the new practice owner, you would enjoy the right of first refusal to purchase the physical office building which is an increasingly rare opportunity (2 floors, 8,000 ft on 3.1 acres). Our office is on the upper level (4,000 ft) and has 8 treatment rooms, small lab, consult room, 2 private offices with private bathroom with shower in between, staff locker area, staff bathroom with shower, large lunchroom or meeting room, spacious reception area, dedicated sterilization area, small lab, multi bathrooms for patients, ample parking and a high visibility location.

We have awesome long-term patients who generally accept the treatment plans and are very pleasant to care for. This ownership offering is becoming a unicorn to the high purchase rate of similar offices by DSO’s over the last few years but I feel this office is built for private ownership so I am going that route for now to find the right new owner. Either a solo dentist or two dentists would easily work with the current built-out layout. Several dental offices around us have recently sold to DSO’s and we are getting many new patients seeking to come here and we simply can’t see all of them. It is a giant opportunity to grow the type of practice you want to have for the long term.
