Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Administer local anesthesia as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
- Assist the dentist during procedures as necessary
Skills:
- Proficient in dental office systems and software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
- Experience in dental assisting and chairside support
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for restorative dentistry
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding for dental procedures
