Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, exceptional clinical skills, and a commitment to educating patients on the importance of oral health.
Responsibilities:
• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth, removing plaque, and applying fluoride treatments
• Take and develop X-rays as needed
• Conduct patient screenings and assessments, including reviewing medical histories and updating patient records
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, including brushing, flossing, and diet tips for optimal dental health
• Assist in the preparation of treatment rooms and sterilization of instruments
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all procedures and observations
• Work collaboratively with the dentist and other team members to provide comprehensive care
• Stay current with the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technology
Qualifications:
• Valid dental hygienist license in North Carolina
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures and preventive care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make patients feel comfortable
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
