Job Title: Dental Hygienist
Reports To: Dentist / Office Manager
Location: Glenview, Illinois
Position Summary:
The Dental Hygienist plays a vital role in providing high-quality preventive dental care to patients. This position focuses on patient education, oral health assessments, and clinical services designed to maintain and improve oral health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and removing plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
• Conduct thorough oral examinations and chart patient conditions for review by the dentist.
• Apply preventive materials such as fluoride varnishes and dental sealants.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, diet, and lifestyle habits for optimal dental health.
• Document patient care, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with office protocols and HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain sterilization and infection control standards for all dental instruments and operatories.
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures when necessary.
• Stay current with continuing education requirements and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
• Active state dental hygienist license (in good standing).
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and a positive chairside manner.
Work Environment:
• Typical work is performed in a dental clinic setting.
• May require standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
• Use of PPE is mandatory for safety and infection control.
Schedule:
• Part-Time 2- 3 days a week (flexible on which days of the week). Office hours are as follows:
o Monday 11 am – 6 pm (Ideal day)
o Tuesday 8 am – 3pm
o One Wednesday a month 9am – 3 pm
o Thursday 11 am – 6 pm
o Friday 8 am – 2 pm
o Open some Saturdays 8 am – 2 pm (Ideal day)
• May be full-time by January 2026

Offering $45 - $60 dollars per hour depending on experience
