We are seeking a dedicated, patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. As a key member of our dental practice, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality oral health care and educating patients on preventive dental strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine dental cleanings and preventive care, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride application.
- Review health histories and update as needed
- Take digital dental x-rays, intraoral photographs, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Assess oral health conditions and communicate findings to the dentist.
- Assess periodontal health and review findings with dentist to treatment plan and perform scaling and root planning
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and disease prevention.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of dental operatory.
- Apply sealants and other preventative treatments as needed.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.
- Comply with all dental practice safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- Current state license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)/ Certified Registered Dental Hygienist (CRDH).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a dental hygienist
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
- CPR certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with Dentrix is a plus.
